Searchable video archiving
Your viewers will be able to search through every newscast, in its entirety, for up to two years after airing -- vastly enhancing the AVAILABILITY of your content via your website.
See for yourself. Try this search for "motorcycle" for the last 30 days on WLEX-TV, in Lexington, KY.

3rd-party content blocking
Before we could make a TV station's newscasts fully searchable and accessible online, one important question had to be answered: "What about professional sports highlights and other 3rd-party content stations can't redistribute after the original broadcast?"
VideoGenesis broke new ground by being creating a high-customizeable system that automatically detects which areas of a newscast are off-limits and blocks users from accessing those areas. (patent-pending)

Enhanced video selection and sharing
Your viewers can share anything they find in our system with the world by using our server-side editing and story selection interface. By enhancing the UTILITY of your content in this fashion, more of it (by several orders of magnitude) will be circulating the Internet at any given time.
The following link leads to a video clip created and shared by a user that would have been unavailable in any other system. Since the page has a static, always-there Internet address, it can be posted on a website or blog, shot to someone in an email, linked in an instant messenger conversation, or social-bookmarked using tools we provide.

Enhanced search engine spiderability
VideoGenesis keeps track of the closed captioning associated with all news video your station broadcasts. When a permalinked video page is created, it is automatically inserted, rendering the page far more "findable" by Internet search engines, increasing the REACH of your content and boosting traffic.
Try this Google search for "wrightsboro road kroger bomb", a clip created on WRDW-TV in Augusta, GA. At the time of this posting, this search beats the local newspaper's story in Google's rankings and the other local TV stations' stories (if they even exist) don't appear.

Advanced internal syndication
As soon as a clip is created (either by the public or someone at your station) and approved through the VideoGenesis control panel, it is automatically fed into one or more RSS feeds. These feeds are used by our system to create auto-populating widgets available for placement in your website. Here are two examples:
